A little rain can make an amazing image

The 2012 Highlander Cycle Tour was a bit wet, just a wee bit.  It looks like we may have a repeat this weekend.  It’s still early in the week, and as all upstate NY residents know, wait 5 minutes and the weather could change.

This image was taken during the most torrential downpour I have seen since I lived in Florida.  I was hiding in the trunk with the hatch propped up about 1/2 foot while I clicked away while water was splashing on me from the ground below.  Yeah, it was raining.
